Festivals

The Arts Council of Huntsville sponsors a number of events, including the Panoply Arts Festival; Alabama Youth Ballet; Sprouting Scientists; music education programming, and other arts activities.

Rocket City Brewfest is not just a reason to sample crafted beers, it is also a chance to ... consider the chemical and biological factors ... there's social interaction ... try various foods ... OK, it's mostly about beer.

Huntsville Music and Theater

Huntsville and Northern Alabama have a very well developed music and theater community, with several groups with their own specialties.

The Broadway Theatre League presents Broadway shows, classic and modern, on the local stage. The Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater is all about bringing live theater to children, and theater arts to interested young people. Theatre Huntsville presents a variety of plays, comedy to drama. Less well known theaters include the Renaissance Theater of Huntsville, and the Flying Monkey Arts Center.

Huntsville is also a music and center, with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Huntsville Youth Orchestra, Huntsville Chamber Music Guild, and Huntsville Ballet Company providing a variety of performances.
